Mongoika Depaato's new 2-song CD features the song Music Bird. This is a wonderful, laid-back pop song, written very much in the style of Carole King's early work. The band really performs well as a unit. Everyone knows their role and cohesively forms a strong underpinning of rhythm and groove. The vocalist does a fine job of establishing the atmosphere of this tune, singing with both authority and emotion. A song called 1mm is also featured, again revealing a band in full command of their message. If these songs serves a testament to Mongoika Depaato's potential - both as songwriters and as performers - their future is bright indeed.
