SALLYNOTE[サリーノート]
SALLYNOTE is a 5-man band from Tokyo, Japan. Their new 3-song CD reveals a band with a well-honed vision. As a band these guys obviously did their homework before heading into the recording studio. Each of these songs is a well-polished pop gem. Of special note is the band's use of acoustic guitar and retro Hammond B-3 organ - creating a seamless backdrop for some really well done harmony vocals. Though each of these songs is a winner AI NO UTA (Love Song) ends the CD on an extremely strong note. All the elements are in place here - a strong rhythm section, great instrumentalists, and talented vocalists. More importantly, there are no grandstanding members here - this is a band who collectively plays for the song. It's this approach that really gives SALLYNOTE's new CD its shine.
